Beech Hall School Goes the Extra Length for Motivational Day
Beech Hall School recently welcomed former Olympian, 200m breaststroke swimmer James Kirton, for a motivational day of fitness and fun.
The talented athlete joined pupils at the Tytherington-based school where he gave children a taste of his Olympic training outside of the pool, delivering a highly-engaging fitness workshop.
In addition to competing at an Olympic level, James also represented Team GB at the European and World championships. During an inspirational assembly, James shared with the pupils an insight into his experiences as an athlete, including his journey to the Olympics and other major tournaments.
To conclude the motivational and energetic day, pupils, staff, family and friends gathered for the opening of the school’s heated outdoor swimming pool for the term’s first family swim.
Headmaster, James Allen commented, “It was a pleasure to welcome James Kirton to our school. He delivered an inspirational talk encouraging both staff and pupils to be grateful for the wonderful opportunities we receive and teaching us that determination and dedication can help us to achieve our goals.”
